Okay, so it isn't another child that "bites the dust" but Mackenzie again. Yup, I got a call from the school on Monday saying that Mac had once again tripped and skinned her head up. She seemed okay so we sent her to class again. The nurse did say that they have made a new rule for Mac that she isn't allowed to run on the cement pad and they asked us to help reinforce that rule at home. Needless to say, Mac is not happy about the new rule that only applies to her. The good news is that her scab has now fallen off and it looks like she might only have a small scar if any scar at all. The vision specialist called me on Tuesday wanting to talk to me a bit about Mac where she has now tripped and skinned up her head twice in a week. They know she does have some depth perception issues and she is wondering if maybe they are worse than we initially thought. They are going to go ahead and test her sometime this week to see if they can get more answers. We are a little torn over whether or not it is just Mac being spacey or if it is an actual problem. Let's face it, Mac is adorable but she is a huge space cadet.
