Overheard...

{Kaiden} Mom, will Maddie be a Honey when she grows up?
{Me} What?
{Kaiden} Will Maddie be a Honey when she grows up?
{Me} What do you mean?
{Kaiden} Dad says you are a Honey so will Maddie be a Honey when she grows up?
{Me} I guess so.
{Kaiden} Good, I like Honeys.

I guess it is a good thing that Jason calls me "Honey" and not something mean.

Kaiden's Birthday

Kaiden turned 4 on Tuesday. I cannot believe that he is growing up . It seems like just yesterday that he was toddling around and sucking on his pacifier. Now he is a crazy and wild "big boy". He is not the easiest child but he is a sweet little guy. We don't know what we would do without him. He loves to be Jason's big helper and is always looking for a good cuddle. Happy Birthday!

Disappearing socks

My workout socks have been slowly disappearing and I could not figure out where they were going to. Mystery solved! I found Maddie upstairs like this...
Now I just need to figure out where she puts them after she steals them.

Who stole the cheese?

Yup, those are teeth marks. I opened a brand new brick of cheese from Costco (it was a huge brick) and left it unattended for just a few minutes only to come back and find it gone. Immediately I took off searching for Kaiden and Maddie. Kaiden had just been sent to his room for hitting Maddie but they had apparently made amends because they were sitting on his bed taking turns biting the cheese. How do you eat that much cheese in 5 minutes? I took the cheese and had to get out of there before I broke down laughing. On the bright side, at least they were sharing.

Happy Birthday Maddison!

Maddison turned 2 on Thursday. I cannot believe how fast time flies. She is such a funny little girl and definitely adds some spunk to our family. This year she really got into opening her presents. All she could do is giggle and laugh the whole time.
Notice how she shredded the paper instead of ripping off big chunks. Apparently it is more fun that way.
This picture makes me laugh. I knew I should have had her open her new shoes very last but I didn't and she kept going back to the shoes. Notice how she has a doll sitting right in front of her and all she is interested in is her new shoes. A girl after my own heart!
I did my best to talk her into a fun, girly cake but the kids convinced her she needed bugs on her cake. Making it was a whole family afair, as you can see by the icing all over the cake pan. It was messy, but fun. Next year I am just going to make her a girly cake.

Preschool

Kaiden started preschool today. He was so excited but I struggled with it a bit. He is just growing up too fast. I felt much less like a baby when Jenn admitted that she got a bit teary eyed in the car as she took Tanner. I told Kaiden that he needs to stay my baby boy and he got a little frustrated and told me that he has already grown up. Sadly, he is kind of right.
Maddison had to sneak in for a picture. His shirt is HUGE. The preschool he is going to offered us class shirts and I knew Kaiden would want one. Little did I know that they would run big and he would be swimming in it. :0)
