Disney World!

Jason came home a few weeks ago (Hurray!) and we decided to surprise the kids with a trip to Disney World. It was a blast and a much needed vacation for us. We are thinking of making it a yearly tradition. We had a condo that we stayed in and it was really nice. There were beds for everyone and it was nice to have a kitchen to fix breakfast in. Our condo had several pools and the kids tried to spend every minute they could there. I had tons of pictures that we took but I decided to just post a few from each of the Disney parks. Sorry for the picture overload.

Epcot

Sea World

We took a day during the week to visit Sea World.

They got drenched on this ride and Mackenzie was done with rides after that.

Animal Kingdom

Magic Kingdom

We spent a couple of days at the Magic Kingdom. The kids said it was their favorite part of the vacation.

I had to add this picture because it looks like she is surfing. Too funny!

Halloween

Carving pumpkins

These are way overdue but oh well. :0)

Kaitlyn loves to clean them out. I just wish all the kids enjoyed it so much so I didn't have to take care of the others.

I must have done something right

I was looking through Kaitlyn's papers she brought home from school and I came across this little gem.
I have been wearing a smile on my face ever since I found it. That's right, she has a store that is just for Cowboys things and she even added the blue star. She says that she is not done, but you get the point. Is there any questioning what team we support in this house? It's moments like this that make me proud to be a mom. She is definitely my daughter. :0)

Pumpkin fever

Today was the day that Kaiden has been talking about for weeks. He was able to go on his first field trip and man was he excited. It was nice to be able to go with him and spend a little one-on-one time together. Thanks Jenn for watching Maddison so I could go. It was muddy and freezing cold, but we had fun. Rachel, I think I underestimated just how cold it was going to be when I told you it wouldn't be too cold and that we would be fine. Oops! :0)
We rode the train, which Kaiden loved. But, his favorite part was riding the hayride out to get his own pumpkin.
He was so proud of his pumpkin but was slightly confused when he went to pick it up and the vine came with it. I'm not sure how he thought pumpkins came to be but from his reaction, he didn't think they grew on a vine. When we pulled it off the vine, he was once again a happy camper.

Pictures from the desert

Jason sent me a few pictures of his flights. He was lucky enough to again have someone on the KC-135 taking pictures while he was flying. For some reason it is more exciting to look at pictures of his plane when I know he is the one actually flying.

Here is a shot of his plane from a distance.
This one just freaks me out a bit. It shows how close they get to the KC-135 when they are taking on fuel. Yes, the picture was taken just as Jason went to sneeze. Hee! Hee!
You might have to click on this one to really see what is going on. You know you are in a steep bank when the ground can be seen out his window.
And I added this one just because he is handsome and I wanted to show him off. :0)

Oh the weather outside...

Are you KIDDING me?
This is what we woke up to this morning. My poor, frozen plants. :(
