Mac had a big week last week. First she had her kindergarten program on Wednesday and she did great. I thought she would be a little nervous but she sang her little heart out. She was very excited and we were very proud of her. Then she was honored as a kindergarten Word Star on Friday. She worked very hard to memorize all of her words and it was a big accomplishment. She is such a sweet little girl and it is fun to see her grow and learn. Congratulations Mackenzie!
On a side note, I get a call from the school on Friday at about 3:00. It was the school nurse. Mac had fallen again and the metal part of her hair barrett went through her scalp causing her to bleed everywhere. The nurse didn't want me to be alarmed when I picked Mac up. They had to wash her hair and sent her home with an ice pack. They did say she was very brave and just casually walked up to her teacher and told her she fell. Her teacher about lost it when she saw all the blood. Who knew that a tiny little cut could bleed so much? She may not be graceful, but she makes up for it in cuteness.
